Frequently Asked Questions
For all fully toilet trained children regular swim wear is required. We advise boys not to wear long knee length swim shorts as this restricts their swimming.
For children who have irritable skin conditions/eczema we recommend a protective swim suit rather than lots of barrier cream, as this reduces the need for more chemicals in the pool.
For children with long hair, please wear caps or ensure it is tied back tightly.
It is preferred that students wear goggles, these should fit well and be in good condition. We advise you to ensure they fit correctly by having a trial run in the bath before your lesson.
Please do not consume or bring food into the changing area or pool and ensure your child does not eat anything 30 minutes prior to the lesson.
Please do not bring buggies into the changing area, it is small and lovely but not accommodating enough for buggies.
Payment should be made by BACS, details of which will be given on enrollment.
Any missed lessons will not be refunded.
Starting from the preschool classes, your child will be assessed using the ASA Learn To Swim Pathway and will be awarded once each level is attained. He/She will also be awarded as and when the teacher feels he/she has made great progress or effort in our weekly star award.
Please be aware, your child will only pass the level if they have completed all of the skills to the correct standard, determined by their teacher.
